Azbuka vkusa chooses Evocargo robots
Russia’s Azbuka Vkusa supermarket chain has launched operations with driverless trucks at its Istra warehouse facility near Moscow in partnership with the autonomous transport developer Evocargo. The AI-powered Evocargo N1 vehicles operate around the clock, seven days a week.
The implementation of autonomous electric transport is part of the retailer’s strategy to minimize environmental impact and support sustainable development. The company already set an example to the industry by giving up the use of printed receipts and is also taking steps to reduce the amount of packaging used for its products. The autonomous trucks now serving the Istra warehouses help to reduce carbon footprint, since they are powered by electricity, which is an environmentally friendly and renewable energy source.

Evocargo’s N1 vehicles are equipped with advanced AI technologies that collect and analyze data from sensors, making instant decisions in response to the external environment in order to ensure safety. The AI algorithms take account of numerous factors including the current traffic situation and predicted trajectories of other vehicles, allowing the truck to move around the site efficiently and safely.

The Istra project marks another step in systematic transition by the Russian retail industry to driverless transport and confirms the growing interest in autonomous technologies in Russia.
The launch of robotic trucks to move goods between the buildings at our distribution center is another step toward the robotization of warehouse processes. This innovative solution will help us to optimize logistics, reduce environmental impact, and ensure even more reliable functioning of the entire supply chain.
