The installation at Vnukovo-2 logistics center, next to Moscow’s Vnukovo airport, is the first of its kind for Russian Post. The company, which serves tens of millions of customers each year, views the introduction of efficient AI-based logistics solutions as a logical and necessary step for ensuring the quality of its domestic and international postal services.
Postal items are transported around Vnukovo-2 by Evocargo N1 autonomous electric truck. Evocargo’s autonomous logistics services are already used by a number of large Russian companies in various sectors, including Wildberries, Sweet Life, Gazpromneft-Snabzhenie, Rusklimat, Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, PEC, Marvel Logistics, SIBUR, and many others.
The N1 is an electric-powered, environment-friendly vehicle equipped with a fifth-generation autopilot system, developed in-house by Evocargo specialists. Safe operation is ensured by a sophisticated multi-sensor perception system, which uses the latest machine learning algorithms to accurately determine position, plan safe speeds, and predict movement based on its surroundings.
